Hello,

I am member of a small development team from Future Procesing, a company that is using the GLPI system for our internal purposes. We are currently attempting to extend the GLPI project with a feature that will allow it to use SAML authentication, in our case - using Microsoft AD FS as an identity provider.

We would like to contribute that feature as a part of the next release.

Because of that, we are wondering whether anyone responsible for the tool development could give us guideliness about what is expected of such contribution. Do you have any restriction (ones you can share up-front) on how do you want this particular authorization to be implemented?

We can of course attempt to conform into the tool standards, commit first and ask later, but any advice beforehand will probably save us time, and help to fit our timeframe for the task.

Cheers,
Maciek

It's possible to code it (one of my client can require it). But it's better if someone know exactly how SAML works, so if we can work together on this ticket, it could be great.

SAML Authentication exists as a plugin - https://github.com/FutureProcessing/glpi-fpsaml.
